Playable Ad Prototype – Asteroid Mining

This project explores the design and technical challenges behind high-performing playable ads.

Built using HTML5 Canvas (no engine), the focus is on delivering a fast, responsive, and visually clear interaction loop that captures player attention within seconds.

Key features:

- Tap vs Hold mechanics (instant punch vs charged laser)

- Heat system with skill-based timing for bonus damage

- Strong visual feedback (damage numbers, screen shake, state changes)

- Short-session loop designed to lead into a natural CTA moment

Goals:

- Simulate a high-retention playable ad experience

- Optimize responsiveness and clarity under tight constraints

- Explore player engagement within a 20–30 second window

This prototype was developed as part of my exploration into playable ads and performance-driven game design.
